HER motorcycle diaries
riding yesterday went waaaay better than the last pract 5.
mainly cos i passed. haha.
the warmup was okay. i ranoff plank, though, i think. can't rem what bike i took, it was a 40-something, i think. at first, i couldn't even start it, but the bike technician came along and started it for me, so yay. haha.
the first turning-out was already a screwup, cos i lost my footing at the junction and had to put my right foot down. bodoh. takper. i went on. then i got nervous while waiting at figure 8, so i banged the kerb. yaaarggghhh. bodoh. i kinda knew it was over then, but surprise-surprise, i didn't runoff plank this time! haha. and the rest of the courses went alright too.
afterwards, the rest of us gathered at the shed, discussing our chances and stuff. there was an adorable chinese-indonesian guy who was complaining about the E-brake. haha. actually, everyone was nice that day. i love it when i'm with nice and friendly people. it's hard to be the only girl. you feel so out. so it helped that they were friendly.
anyway after that we were allowed to practise the courses on our own, so i went off, and decided to prove myself at the figure 8. it's exhilaratingly fun. i feel so light, and i bank so low sometimes i can hear the ground. then i turn out and off throttle, and thank God for letting me through safely. anyway yeah i did everything over and over and over, then i realised that i was the only one still not back, and it looked like tamrin was already giving out the assessment, so i quickly parked and went back, stood right infront of tamrin, expecting him to give me back my booklet, and be done with it.
i was wrong. there was a bunch of booklets sitting infront of him. and he called everyone forward. it was five or six of us la. and he was saying how actually only two of us passed, but he didn't wanna discourage the rest of us either. i know i'm not one of the two, but it's okay. i'm glad dorang kasi chance.
